We have narrowed our focus to 10 items. We believe these recommendations will help lead us towards making Onalaska a safe and welcoming environment for people of color and preparing ALL students for the diverse world once they leave Onalaska.
Through our offering support to teachers incorporating anti-racist curriculum, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. Most of our efforts pertaining to this program involve connecting students with community mentors with a focus on equity. We evaluate our success in this program by gathering qualitative and quantitative data, and using that information to measure shifts and changes from our baseline measurements.
Our group works to promote educational equity and inclusion in Onalaska in the hopes that it reverberates positively throughout our community.
